Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CommunityOS (https://www.communityos.dev), including the website, dashboard, community portals, Discord integrations, and the FiveM server resource. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

CommunityOS is a platform that helps FiveM server communities run applications, support tickets, rules, announcements, staff tools, server integrations, and public community portals. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Accounts

  • You sign in with Discord. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your Discord account secure.
  • You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with a community.
  • CommunityOS is intended for adults. FiveM runs on Grand Theft Auto V, which is rated 18+ (PEGI 18 / Mature) in most regions.

3. Communities, owners, and staff

  • Community owners are responsible for their community's content, rules, staff conduct, and how they handle member data (applications, tickets, player records, and similar).
  • Owners and staff must only use member data for running their community, and must comply with applicable law when doing so.
  • Joining a community, applying, or opening a ticket shares the information you submit with that community's staff, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or infringe the rights of others
  • Upload or distribute content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or that doxxes others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, communities, other users' data, or our infrastructure
  • Abuse, overload, scrape, or disrupt the service, including excessive automated requests or circumventing rate limits
  • Use the platform to spam, phish, or distribute malware, cheats, or exploits
  • Resell or misrepresent the service as your own product without our permission

We may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts and communities that violate these terms or put the platform or its users at risk.

5. Your content

You (or your community) keep ownership of the content you create - rules, announcements, applications, tickets, clips, branding, and similar. You grant us a licence to host, store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service (for example, showing your public portal to visitors or posting an announcement to Discord when you ask us to).

You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload, including logos, banner images, and clips.

6. Subscriptions and billing

  • The free plan is free. Pro is a paid subscription billed via Stripe on a monthly or annual basis at the prices shown on our pricing page.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If a payment fails, Pro features may be downgraded.
  • Prices may change; we will give notice before renewal if they do.

7. Third-party services

The service integrates with Discord, Stripe, Tebex, FiveM/Cfx.re, and clip hosts (e.g. Medal, YouTube, Twitch, Streamable). Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. CommunityOS is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, Cfx.re, or Discord.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" and "as available" - we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, loss of data, loss of profits, or community-to-member disputes. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or £50 if you have paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You can stop using the service or delete your community at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, legal reasons, or risk to the platform. On termination, your right to use the service ends; some data may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do, and we will make reasonable efforts to flag significant changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
